The Ohio Players rose to fame in the 70’s as pioneers of street funk and underground R&B. They have produced over one dozen albums, three of which went consecutively platinum. Hit singles like “Fire,” “Love Rollercoaster,” “Funky Worm,” “Sweet Sticky Thing,” and “Who’d She Coo” dominated the pop & R&B charts, earning them 14 gold and platinum awards. Since then, several artists like Snoop Dogg, Puff Daddy, Salt & Pepper, Sound Garden, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Paul Jackson, Jr. have sampled or re-recorded their material. Today, The Ohio Players continue to entertain enthusiastic crowds all over the world with their iconic funky grooves.
