Stockdale Capital already has a template for the project: Four years ago in the Old Town district of Scottsdale, Arizona, it acquired the 537,100-square-foot Galleria, an anchorless mall concept that opened in a sluggish economy in 1991 — and then promptly closed two years later. While a subsequent owner converted the shopping center into offices, Stockdale Capital renovated the asset and has attracted tenants such as Yelp, Indeed, Spaces and most recently, Zillow.
